Hello everyone!
My name is Harrison Grant, and I’ve dedicated my life to understanding, studying, and working with the illustrious tobacco plant. Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked with some of the most prominent tobacco companies in the world, including British American Tobacco and Philip Morris International. I’m currently based in the beautiful countryside of Virginia, USA, surrounded by the verdant tobacco fields that I’ve always been passionate about.
Before I became engrossed in the world of tobacco, I studied Plant Science at Cornell University, specializing in sustainable farming and crop management. This academic foundation gave me a unique perspective on the tobacco industry, which helped me rise through the ranks quickly. I spent 10 years with British American Tobacco, focusing on crop yield optimization and sustainability. Later, with Philip Morris International, I played a key role in creating more eco-friendly packaging.
In 2021, I was humbled to receive the prestigious ‘Tobacco Industry Innovator of the Year’ award for my work in improving the efficiency and sustainability of the tobacco growing process. My team and I were able to increase yields by 10% while reducing water usage, a feat I’m immensely proud of.
Apart from my professional life, I am an avid reader and history buff. You might catch me in a local bookstore, digging for some forgotten treasure about the colonial era, which was an incredibly interesting period for tobacco! I also enjoy hiking, often taking long walks through the scenic Virginia countryside.
